Simple Bridal Details

I hear it a lot...'the wedding didn't have a lot of details, can I still submit it?' The thing is, every wedding has details, just maybe not a lot of lavish special touches or creative DIY elements, and that is perfectly fine because not every bride has the man-power (more like, bridesmaid-power) to churn out truckloads of hand-crafted decor, and not every couple has the inclination to spend their budget on jaw-dropping, high-end details. You can almost always bet, however, on the wedding incorporating a dress, accessories, and a bouquet. As the editor for Vale + Vine, I care more about showing simple details photographed well, than featuring photos that might showcase an abundance of ideas, but aren't presented in the most artful manner. This collection of images photographed on film by AMB Photo in Ottawa, is a great example of how beautifully simple details and a bride's mood and style can be captured when lighting, composition and posing are intentional and pared down to the basics. Timeless, natural, and uncluttered...in my mind, those are the best kind of details.
