Toronto Woodland + Waterfront Engagement

I have to admit that living in California during this current (going on two year) drought has really made me miss Canada's weather. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for warmth and sunshine and a blissful Mediterranean climate, but this past week when I returned to Manitoba I couldn't get over how green everything was. I revelled in the lushness of it all, soaking up every ounce of greenery before returning to my parched, adopted home.

This woodland and waterfront engagement session shot outside of Toronto courtesy of Photographs by Caileigh reminded me not only how refreshing a spring or summer rain can be, but how easily accessible Canada's rich natural landscapes are, even when living in a dense urban setting like Toronto or Vancouver. Canada is blessed with an inescapable amount of nature, and I believe natural settings like these ones and so many more, provide the ideal environment for authentic, uninhibited love to flourish in front of the camera, the way Dave + Darlene's has in this shoot.
