Intimate Winter Wedding in Quebec

This intimate winter wedding near Mont Tremblant, Quebec, just an hour and a half from Montreal, is brimming with rustic Canadian charm. While the rugged winter scenery offered photographer Micheal Beaulieu a beautiful backdrop for stunning snow-filled portraits with the newlyweds, the architecture of the log accommodations and restaurant Le Rustique provided Amanda and Dean with a natural and cozy setting from which to host their guests. Here are a few words from the bride, Amanda, on the details that made their special day especially personal:

"We wanted to embrace Le Rustique's natural charm, with it's gorgeous log interior, which allowed us to keep the decorations to a minimum. We highlighted the stone fireplace with lanterns and dressed up the wooden tables with homemade sewn runners and greenery instead of covering them with table cloths. We loved the sliding barn doors from room-to-room, eclectic wood chairs, and actually requested Bruno, the restaurant owner, leave the stacks of wood in the dining room. We were excited by our guests' reaction to loving the deer tartare served as an amuse bouche!

We kept our guest list intimate with the goal of spending quality time with our closest family and friends that winter weekend. We arranged skiing, an après ski party, and encouraged our guests to join us on the lake for skating and a game of hockey shinny the morning of the wedding! We were thrilled to bring everyone to Lac Superieur, because it was one year prior while skiing at Tremblant that Dean proposed on the first run of the day! This is the same lake we skated on that night, and these were the same accommodations we resided at during our holiday. Lac Superieur is quite a special place to us, now even more so."

Amanda + Dean's attire was also especially tied to nature, with Dean's ring being custom designed from wood and Amanda's shawl a custom alpaca creation.
