Country Wedding on the River

I have a special affinity for daytime weddings in the countryside, mostly because that's what my husband and I chose for our own wedding, but also because I appreciate the relaxed atmosphere that these types of weddings encourage.  The bride and groom tend to have time to linger both with each other and with their guests; the guests and wedding party often have ample time to enjoy each others' company or wedding day activities; and photographers have the opportunity to take advantage of extra natural light, capture more candid moments among the guests, and offer extra attention to the bride and groom and the interactions and emotions they're experiencing throughout the day.  These kinds of weddings are also quite conducive to having children as part of the day, which is a really important aspect for some.  This wedding at Rowena's Inn on the River photographed by Melissa Gidney in Harrison Mills, BC, is a perfect example of just such a celebration.
