Manitoba Anniversary Session at Birds Hill Park

These past ten days I've had the pleasure of spending time in and around Winnipeg, Manitoba with family, friends, and some of the area's finest fine art wedding vendors.  I finally had the chance to meet film photographer Brittany Mahood who is based in both Manitoba and Phoenix, AZ, and I'm thrilled to show her work once again.  Featured on Vale + Vine today is a ten year anniversary shoot for Bond and Leah of BLF Studios (also based in Manitoba and whom I sadly missed meeting this time around) that takes place in Birds Hill Provincial Park--a place near and dear to my heart.  

The park was basically my back yard growing up, and memories of bike riding, bbq's and beach days are plenty.  So when some seriously scenic shots like this flood my screen, I find myself somewhat taken aback, because I'd never considered the spot to evoke so much romance.  It prompts me to wonder what other childhood haunts have more ambience and drama than I'd ever been aware of, and makes me want to seek them out again.  Also nearby is another favourite, Pineridge Hollow--one of the best spots for outdoor weddings in the province--not to mention a bustling restaurant with a menu featuring bison burgers, mushroom perogies, and woodfire pizzas cooked right before your eyes on the front porch.  To check out a wedding photographed at Pineridge Hollow (with bridal party photos at Birds Hill Park) by Brittany Mahood, take a peek here.
