Golden Celtic Inspiration
As a photographer with a penchant for travel, I'm always looking for inspiration on the go, and then searching for ways to incorporate that inspiration into my current photographic work when I return home. This styled shoot by Christie Graham Photography is a perfect example of how inspiration collected on the road can set the tone for an entire look in a place quite opposite from the inspiration's origins.
During her recent travels in Ireland, Christie Graham came across a celtic knot ring in a Killarney ring boutique. Her visit to the nearby Muckross House prompted daydreams about an Irish wedding and the two inspirational elements were married together in a sunny styled shoot back in Canada. From the ring itself to the groom's red hair and fair skin to the old world paper goods and calligraphy, the references to Ireland are obvious, but with the inclusion of vibrant florals, a linen suit, and the sun-filled meadow, this shoot maintains a modern, informal sensibility that suits a new world wedding.
