Romantic San Francisco Engagement Session

A few months ago I had the opportunity to meet and hang out with Jess, of Jessica Rose Photography, while she was traveling and creating stunning portraits throughout California. Turns out we have a lot in common, including the fact that we are both Canadians who married guys from the Deep South. We also share a love for the beautiful California light that beckons so many photographers to seek out the golden glow that seems to exude a mysterious, intangible quality. It's this quality of light that continues to inspire numerous wedding industry creatives who have adopted the fine art aesthetic and have built incredible bodies of work utilizing natural light. The warm glow of California light, however, is obviously not available to everybody seeking to harness the beauty of natural light, but it can serve to inspire you to take advantage of the light you do have on hand, whether that be the moody overcast light of Vancouver in the spring, or the cool bluish light of Winnipeg in the winter. Let the light wherever you may be, challenge you to find and create beauty in its midst.
