If you've ever wondered what a modern day interpretation of Anne of Avonlea might look like, this styled collaborative shoot by Rebecca Yale Photography and Shellie Pomeroy of Silk + Willow is it (in my mind at least). Set in New Paltz, New York, amidst meadows of clover and peaceful brooks, I could just imagine a grown up Anne Shirley spending an easy afternoon foraging for blooms and daydreaming in the Atlantic countryside, reciting The Lady of Shalott by the waters' edge, and entertaining the likes of her kindred spirit, Diana, perpetual tease/eventual beau Gilbert Blythe, Matthew + Marilla, and Miss Stacy.
