I'm always a fan of blending warm and cool tones, alongside a vision of soft pastels and vibrant hues, but only when it's done well. The challenge is a risky business and the effect can wind up appearing more messy than magical, however when the right team is assembled and the vision is shared, executed, and documented in a cohesive manner, the result is both exciting and easy on the eyes....
Read MoreI love showing off the work of some of my favourite vendors out there, and today's feature highlights the exceptional talents of floral + wedding designer, Lauren Wiebe of Stone House Creative and fine art film photographer Brittany Mahood, both of whom I had a chance to meet in person last year in Manitoba. Lauren has provided her vision for the shoot seen here, so I'll just go ahead and let her share that with you...
Read MoreRight here is where formal meets fresh, without a hint of stuffiness. If you're after a formal wedding look without a cloistered feel, consider a formal garden, which offers the symmetry and elegance of a grand ballroom, along with the informality that nature lends to any setting...

Read MoreThis week I felt a burst of florals was in order, and what better way to do that than with the intricate stylings of the attendees from the 2014 Team Flower Workshop photographed by Heather Payne Photography. Whether you're setting your dinner table with a custom arrangement, stopping by your local florist for an armful of fresh-cut flowers to arrange on your own (peonies are everywhere these days!), or are foraging for something wild and wonderful to decorate with (as long as it's legal!), these gorgeous creations are sure to inspire....
Read MoreIf you've ever wondered what a modern day interpretation of Anne of Avonlea might look like, this styled collaborative shoot by Rebecca Yale Photography and Shellie Pomeroy of Silk + Willow is it (in my mind at least). Raspberry cordial would, of course, be on the menu....
